Some places to visit in the Lake District

The UK Lake District has beautiful breathtaking scenery, wide open mountains (fells) that you can hike or climb most of the year. Friendly people and easy access to hundreds of miles of public footpaths make the lake district very popular. You can take a ride on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway direct to Lakeside, then take one of the steamers to Bowness or Ambleside. Why not organise an outing and have Apollo 8 Travel drop you off at the station then collect you from Ambleside before returning you to your starting point. Alternatively why not plan a linear hike, Apollo 8 Travel can collect you from a convenient starting point then collect you from the end of your hike and return you to your own vehicles, no need to ferry vehicles from one end of the hike to the other and you can all travel together as a group.

A great day out, no need to worry about parking or having a drink with your lunch.
