Hill Top and Beatrix Potter - 6 miles
Magnificent views including Grizedale Forrest, Beatrix Potters House
at Hill Top and scenes from her books and enjoy a ferry crossing of
Windermere and lunch at the Tower Bank Arms which features in Jemima
Puddleduck.
Castlerigg Stone Circle - 7 miles
This walk has a vantage point at Walla Cragg which has a fantastic setting
between Derwent Water, Skiddaw and Blencathra. A view in the 'Jaws of
Borrowdale' from Friars Cragg and encounter one of the most spectacularly
sited Stone Circles in the Country.
Elterwater - 5'/2 miles
A gem of a walk which follows a low-level round through the centre of
the Lake District. Breathtaking views along Great Langdale.
Ullswater's Shore to Silver Point - 4 miles
Starting in the hamlet of Patterdale below the mighty Helvellyn. Along
the shore of Ullswater through woodland and visit the famed viewpoint
of Silver Point.
Coniston and Tarn Hows - 6' 1/4 miles
Experience the heart-stopping beauty of Tam Hows and tremendous views
of Coniston Water and Coniston Old Man.
Gramere & Rydal - 7 miles
This area is a superb Lakeland landscape and also the place in which
The great English Poet Wordsworth lived for the last 50 years of his
life. The walk takes us to four of his properties and along shores and
paths which he knew so well.
Sedbergh - 4 1/2 miles
This walk has arguably some of the Countys finest views with a look
at the old market town of Sedbergh. A walk up to the top of Winder may
be exhausting but will be well rewarded.
